Xiaomi Launches Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Buds 5A and New Smart Home Devices

Xiaomi Smarter Living 2024: Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Buds 5A, Robot Vacuum S10 and Handheld Garment Steamer Launched.

Xiaomi launched its latest affordable tablet, truly wireless (TWS) earphones, and new smart home appliances at its 'Smarter Living & More' event. With these new products, Xiaomi aims to further strengthen its portfolio of affordable smart living devices and expand its ecosystem of connected IoT products in India.

Redmi Pad SE Features and Pricing

The Redmi Pad SE was unveiled as Xiaomi's latest entry-level tablet offering in the country. It has an aluminium body and features an 11-inch Full HD+ (1920 x 1200) resolution LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It packs an 8,000mAh battery with 10W charging and has a quad-stereo speaker setup.

It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip and runs on Android 13-based MIUI Pad 14 software, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Pad SE also has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

The Redmi Pad SE starts at Rs 12,999 for the base 4GB+128GB model, Rs 13,999 for the 6GB variant and Rs 14,999 for the and 8GB variant. It will be available in graphite grey, lavender purple, and mint green colours starting April 24 via Amazon, Flipkart, and Mi stores.

Redmi Buds 5A Features and Pricing

Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Buds 5A truly wireless earphones, billing it as the most affordable TWS with ANC support. The Redmi Buds 5A features 12mm drivers and supports active noise cancellation of up to 25dB and transparency mode. The earbuds claim to offer up to 30 hours of backup, and 10 minutes of charging provide 90 minutes of playback.

The Redmi Buds 5A will be available in Bass Black and Timeless White colours from April 29 via Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Reliance Digital outlets.

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 and Handheld Garment Steamer

In the smart home segment, Xiaomi has introduced the Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10. It features a laser-based navigation system with 4000Pa suction and supports Alexa and Google Assistant. The robot vacuum is priced at Rs 20,999, and pre-orders start from April 29. The sale begins on May 6.

Xiaomi also unveiled a Handheld Garment Steamer priced at Rs 2,299. It heats up within 26 seconds, kills up to 99.99% of bacteria and removes allergens from fabrics. The vacuum cleaner and steamer can be purchased via online and offline stores from May 6, while pre-orders begin April 29.
