The Aerox-E is the second Yamaha electric scooter to go on sale after the EC-06.

Yamaha expanded its EV portfolio in India by launching the Aerox-E electric scooter. The Yamaha Aerox-E has been priced at ₹2,81,600 (ex-showroom) and it’s only available in DelhiI, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. This makes the Aerox-E amongst the most electric scooters to ever go on sale in India. The new electric scooter is basically the EV version of the hugely popular Aerox 155 ICE scooter.

The Aerox-E features a 3 kWh battery pack, which are two removable 1.5 kWh units, making it the second electric scooter after the Vida VX2 to offer this feature. The claimed IDC range is 117 km, while the charging time is 6 hrs and 20 mins, for both the battery units, which is very long. The peak power output is 9.4 kW and Yamaha claims a top speed of 95 kmph which is good for an electric scooter, but for the price is too low. Riders will get three modes – Eco, Standard, and Power – plus a Boost function and ability to reverse.

On the features front, the Yamaha Aerox-E sports a TFT screen with three riding modes, turn-by-turn navigation instructions, and smartphone connectivity. There’s also a smart key system, traction control and single channel ABS.
