As part of the recall campaign, Yamaha will replace the specific part affected free of charge at its authorised service centres.
India Yamaha Motor has issued a voluntary safety recall involving 306,635 units of the Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 scooters in the country. The affected scooters were manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025, the two-wheeler maker announced. Yamaha said that the recall is related to an issue with the front brake. The company said the front brake caliper exhibits limited function on select units of the RayZR and Fascino models, compromising safety.
As part of the recall campaign, Yamaha will replace the specific part affected free of charge. Customers can visit an authorised Yamaha service centre or check on the brand’s website using their chassis number to see if their vehicle has been affected by the recall. Yamaha did not confirm if it reported any injuries related to the faulty component.

Both the Yamaha RayZR 125 FI Hybrid and Fascino 125 FI Hybrid scooters are popular sellers for the brand. Both scooters use the same 125 cc engine tuned for 8 bhp and 10.3 Nm of peak torque, and come equipped with a Starter Motor Generator (SMG), to charge the onboard battery. The hybrid setup brings benefits such as enhanced power system, which gives a temporary boost in performance via the battery at lower speeds, coming in handy on gradients. It also helps lower consumption of fuel.
Braking performance on the Yamaha scooters comes with a 190 mm disc brake at the front, while there’s a drum brake at the rear. from Both models get 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. The Yamaha RayZR Disc variant is priced at ₹80,900 onwards, while the Fascino 125 FI Hybrid Disc variants start from ₹87,100 onwards. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
