The Yamaha pavilion at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 is slightly different from the usual flex fuel and electric vehicles seen all over the place. They have displayed new colour options for the FZ range and also some international products. Some of these products are planned for India, while some are under speculation. Here is a detailed account of all of them.

Yamaha

Yamaha R7 and MT-07

Yamaha had kept on display the MT-07 and the R7. Both these bikes are expected to be seen in India soon. They will be CBUs and the prices will be on the higher side as we have seen with the R3 which was launched recently. The engine on this is a twin cylinder mill that makes 73 bhp and 67 Nm. The engine is a crossplane engine very iconic of Yamaha initially but now is being seen on many modern motorcycles due to its advantage in meeting emission norms. Mark your calendars, as these mean machines are expected to hit the roads in the coming months!

Yamaha

Yamaha R1 M

Additionally, the mighty Yamaha R1 M was also on display. It is equipped with the iconic 998 cc, inline-four crossplane engine generating 198 bhp and 112 Nm. The bike has top-of-the-line suspension, advanced electronics, and a range of features showcasing Yamaha's technological prowess. It incorporates numerous carbon fibre components, including the wheels. It remains uncertain whether Yamaha plans to introduce this bike in India. The Yamaha R1 was one of the first legally available sport bikes in India in the early 2000s and Yamaha’s last big bike sold was also the litre-class phenom. Hence, it makes complete sense to have the R1, and more so the R1 M, in the country as the flagship product.

NMax 155 And Grand Filano 125

Not just bikes, Yamaha is testing the waters with global scooter models - the NMax 155 and Grand Filano 125. The NMax has maxi-scooter style with a powerful 155 cc engine, promising both comfort and performance. The Nmax 155 features a maxi-scooter styling with a large front fascia and a comfortable feet-forward seating position adorned with a tall windscreen, LED lighting, and predominantly blacked-out panels, the scooter has an unfamiliar but modern aesthetic. Its larger dimensions and maxi-scooter aesthetics might just fill the gap for those seeking a true scooter experience beyond the Aerox. Meanwhile, the Grand Filano 125cc hints at a possible update for the popular Facino, offering familiar performance with a fresh design twist.
