Considering that the Bharat GP was one of the only three podiums Yamaha earned in 2023, the Japanese manufacturer is aiming to bring some of that good karmic fortune to its 2024 bike. Yamaha’s YZR-M1 racer will now be running a ‘The Call Of The Blue’ sticker for what seems to be all races of the calendar. Even the official team merch is running Yamaha India’s slogan.

This isn’t the first time that the slogan made its way on to the M1. Right from Valentino Rossi’s final few years on the factory machine to until last year, the M1 has been adorned with the sticker for at least a preseason test or a race weekend. Now, the company might have finally realised the might and importance that the Indian motorcycling market holds. Hence, the Yamaha Indonesia ‘Semakin Di Depan’ slogan is now only to be found on the rider’s leathers, while the bike will run the Indian tagline.
Whatever be said, Yamaha’s MotoGP struggles have been plenty in the last few years, especially regarding the horsepower deficit to its rivals and the consequent lack of aero efficiency that arose. Yamaha’s new rider Alex Rins and 2021 World Champion Fabio Quartararo are two of the strongest riders in the field. Hopefully, the 2024 bike gives them a good fighting chance to take on the likes of the Ducatis and KTMs.
