Yokohama has partnered with Bajaj Finance to offer 6-month no-cost EMI options.
Yokohama India has introduced a new no-cost EMI option programme to make its tyres more accessible to consumers. Yokohama has partnered with Bajaj Finance and is offering a 6-month no-cost EMI on tyres above 17 inches, through its Easy Drive EMI programme. This is the first time a tyre manufacturer has partnered with a finance company to offer EMIs on tyres.
The no-cost EMI option is available on Yokohama’s Advan, Geolander and BluEarth series and it will be available at authorised Yokohama stores, either owned by the company or by franchise partners.
Gaurav Mahajan, Head of Marketing at Yokohama India, said, “By making premium tyres more accessible, we take another step forward in reinforcing our position as a brand that helps consumers get more from their motoring lifestyle.”
Other tyre manufacturers like Apollo, Ceat, MRF, JK Tyres and Bridgestone don’t have such a service right now. After speaking with a few dealer partners of Apollo, Ceat, MRF and JK Tyres, it was learnt that they do offer EMI options through Bajaj Finance but they are dealer-level collaboration with Bajaj Finance. Bridgestone dealerships don’t have a tie-up with Bajaj Finance but consumers can purchase tyres on EMIs when they buy using a credit card and convert the payment to an EMI.
