Battery-as-a-service provider Yuma Energy and electric two-wheeler manufacturer Motovolt Mobility have unveiled a partnership to roll out 15,000 M7 electric scooters for fleet operations by the conclusion of 2026, Autocar Professional has reported. The partnership, unveiled in Bengaluru and Kolkata, will combine Motovolt's multi-utility electric scooter with Yuma Energy's battery-swapping infrastructure to tackle range anxiety, charging infrastructure constraints, and elevated upfront battery expenses in India's electric vehicle market.
The alliance decouples battery expenses from vehicle acquisition by allowing Motovolt's M7 scooters to utilise Yuma's battery-swapping infrastructure. Fleet operators and delivery partners will be capable of exchanging batteries rapidly rather than waiting for charging, diminishing downtime and running costs.

The agreement features a lifetime battery warranty for end users, providing additional assurance to customers investing in electric mobility solutions.
Muthu Subramanian, MD & GM, Yuma Energy, was quoted as saying, "The M7 is a strong, well-built machine, and we're thrilled to power it with Yuma's next-gen battery and reliable swapping network. This partnership helps us build an ecosystem that puts riders first and accelerates India's electric future."
Tushar Choudhary, Founder & CEO, Motovolt Mobility, was quoted as saying: "We are excited to join hands with Yuma Energy and help our customers, riders and fleet operators to leverage the benefits of green mobility. As a domestic OEM, we believe affordable and reliable electric two-wheelers can lead towards economic prosperity across urban and semi-urban areas."
"Keeping that in mind, we have developed vehicles that are high on utility and an asset for the consumer, like our M7. Through this collaboration, we aim to advance clean mobility in everyday lives as well as last-mile deliveries, and address the challenges in EV adoption for individual riders and fleet operators."
Kolkata-based Motovolt Mobility, established in 2019, has supplied more than 35,000 vehicles that have travelled in excess of 65 million kilometres, conserved approximately 1.7 million litres of fuel, and reduced 3.71 million kilogrammes of carbon emissions.
