Both the Swift and Altroz have a petrol engine and a choice of automatic or manual transmission. The Altroz offers two added fuel choices: a diesel engine and a CNG option.

Maruti Swift: 

  • The Swift comes with a 1.2 litre K12B 1197cc petrol engine. It is mated to a 5-speed MT or AMT gearbox.

  • The petrol-driven engine offers a power of 81bhp@5700 and a torque of 111.7Nm@4300. 

  • A key standout of the Swift is its mileage for both gearbox choices. With manual transmission, the ARAI claimed mileage is 24.80 km/l. It increases to 25.75 km/l with the AMT gearbox.

  • The 1.2L Revotron engine is equipped with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DCA) in addition to the conventional 5-speed manual gearbox for all three engines.

  • The manual petrol variant has a mileage of 19.33 km/l. The automatic petrol variant has a mileage of 18.5 km/l. The manual diesel variant has a mileage of 23.64 kmpl. The manual CNG variant has a mileage of 26.2 km/kg.
