The XUV700 is a premium SUV from Mahindra that was launched in 2021 and has seven- and five-seater options. In terms of engine and performance, the MX series of XUV700 offers both petrol and diesel engine alternatives. The diesel variant is powered by a 2.2-litre CRDi mHawk engine generating a peak torque of 360 Nm @ 1500-2800 rpm and a maximum power of 152.87 bhp @ 3750 rpm. On the other hand, the petrol version gets a 2.0-litre Turbo GDi mStallion engine, producing a maximum power of 197.26 bhp @ 5000 rpm and a peak torque of 380 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm.   

However, things get slightly different with the AX series of XUV700, which offers both petrol and diesel options. The petrol engine is the same as from the MX series, but this also comes with an automatic transmission alternative. The diesel variant of the AX series is powered by a 2.2-litre CRDi mHawk engine that can generate 182.38 bhp @ 3500 rpm. Then comes the manual variant engine producing 420 Nm of torque between 1600 to 2800 rpm while the automatic variant generates 450 Nm between 1750 to 2800 rpm.
