This 4-cylinder common rail direct injection motor has a displacement of 2393cc, maximum power output of 147.5bhp delivered at 3400rpm and peak torque of 343Nm produced between 1400-2800rpm.

The specs remain identical, barring a minor drop in peak torque by 17Nm compared to the old model. But,  the wide torque band allows accessible performance, especially with a load. This diesel unit comes mated to a 5-speed manual, sending power to the rear wheels, unlike the old model's 6-speed automatic and RWD layout.

So, in summary, while the engine itself is, in essence, the same proven powerplant, the transmission sees a change to manual compared to automatic before. The drivetrain remains rear-wheel drive only.
