The BMW 7 Series Sedan combines multisensory entertainment and pure elegance to create an unmatched premium driving experience. After six generations, the new and upgraded BMW 7 Series was launched on January 7, 2023. This 7 is a much more formidable-looking car, particularly when viewed from the front. It has a split lighting array that is horizontally oriented rather than the conventional dual headlights on either side. A lower slot has two LED headlamps, while the upper slot has slender LED driving lamps.

A 14.9-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch BMW wide curved digital cluster are also present. 

The BMW 7 Series has two variants: a 740i M Sport, which is the petrol variant, and the 740d M Sport, which is the diesel variant. Both versions have an eight-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission.

The interiors of the BMW 7 Series are truly world-class. BMW has created an environment that seems entirely current with the new 7 Series: connected, attentive, and incredibly comfortable. They have also managed to harmonise the aspects and make the technology user-friendly. 

For the rear passengers, the 7 Series has a 31.3-inch 8K touchscreen display. Additionally, a 14.9-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch BMW wide curved digital cockpit are included. Even the back doors of the vehicle can have 5.5-inch touchscreen displays installed for media and phone functions. It has wireless smartphone integration, Bluetooth with audio streaming, and hands-free and USB connectivity. The "Interaction Bar," a new feature of the 7 Series, is located beneath the centre screen. It spans almost the entire width of the cabin and features a crystalline surface with backlighting.

The rear console has a wireless charging tray for backseat passengers and an opulent centre armrest design with glass surfaces and facet cutting. Active seat ventilation, lumbar support, massage function, electrical adjustment for the backrest, width and depth of the seat, and seat heating are all features of the multifunctional BMW individual leather Marina seats for the driver and front passenger. Active seat ventilation, 4-way lumbar support, massage function, electrical backrest, width and seat depth adjustments, seat heating, and a loudspeaker in the head restraint are all features of the multifunctional seats for the outer rear seats. The Executive Lounge option for the back also has an optimal reclining seat position. 

The standout theatre screen has a 31.3-inch ultra-wide format in 32:9 with 8K resolution and supports the Amazon Fire TV Ecosystem, theatre mode, and HDMI interface for external content. The display may be pushed and folded electrically to go as far away from the eyes as possible. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System has 36 speakers, 8-head restraint integrated speakers, 4D quality audio, and a total system output of 1965 Watts. There is also BMW Digital Key Plus, wireless charging for both front and rear passengers, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Augmented View in touch display, and BMW Natural Interaction.

Engine and Transmission

BMW 7 Series Engine CC (Capacity)

Both variants of the BMW 7 Series come with the BMW TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder engine paired with a 48V electric motor. Both variants can reach a top speed of 250 km/h

The 740i M Sport has a 2998cc engine offering a maximum power of 375.48 bhp@5200-6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 520 Nm@1850-5000 rpm. It can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.

BMW retired its sixth-generation 7 Series after seven years of production, and in 2023, a completely new luxury sedan was introduced. The new BMW 7 Series comes with plug-in hybrid systems and a choice of combustion engines. The previous V-12 option is replaced with a powerful 48V motor. The petrol variant has a 2998cc engine offering a maximum power of 375.48 bhp @ 5200-6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 520 Nm @1850-5000 rpm. 

The diesel version has a 2993cc engine that offers a maximum power of 295.02 bhp @ 5200-6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 520 Nm @1850-5000rpm. An 8-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic Transmission powers both variants.
