India is the only market to manufacture the Carens and the company exports the car as well.
Kia India today announced that it has sold 1.5 lakh units of the Carens in the country ever since its launch in February 2022. The Carens has been the company’s 6/7 seater option which begins at Rs. 10.52 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 19.67 lakh (both prices ex-showroom India). Now, the Carens is based on the same platform as the Grand i10 and Kia India has taken advantage of this versatile platform, to bring out a car that is feature rich and cost effective.
Among the various options, the petrol powertrain has emerged as the top choice, accounting for 57% of demand, followed by the diesel powertrain with 43%. Additionally, manual transmission continues to be highly preferred, with 62% of customers opting for it.
