Apart from being greener, the new Hornet 2.0 also gets a new feature.
Honda has been busy upgrading its product line-up to comply with the new BS6 OBD2 emission norms and the latest product to get this update is the Honda Hornet 2.0. The 2023 Honda Hornet 2.0 is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), there has been no increase in its retail price in comparison to the older model.
Honda claims that the new OBD2 update has increased the fuel efficiency of the bike, but we will have to wait until a road test to verify this claim. The other big change on the new Honda Hornet 2.0 is the addition of a slipper clutch, which should make city commutes less taxing with a lighter clutch action. Powering the bike is a 184cc, single-cylinder engine delivering 17 bhp and 15.9 Nm of peak torque. There are no visual changes or any updates on the feature end on the 2023 Hornet 2.0.
Commenting on the launch of the 2023 Hornet 2.0, Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “We are pleased to introduce the new Hornet 2.0. Inspired by the dreams of the new-age customers and their passion for motorcycle riding, it is a transformation of Honda’s racing DNA into sheer thrill of street riding. With advanced features and thrilling performance, the new Hornet 2.0 street fighter is a call out to young motorcycle enthusiasts who want to Fly Against The Wind!”
The Honda Hornet 2.0 competes with the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R and the Bajaj Pulsar N160.
