The Honda CB300R is now B6.2 emission norm-compliant.
Expanding its OBD2-compliant (BS6.2 emission norms) range, Honda launched the new CB300R in the Indian market. The 2023 Honda CB300R has been priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 37,000 more affordable than before. Booking for the motorcycle has commenced at Honda BigWing dealerships across the country. The Honda CB300R is the Japanese brand's most premium offering in the naked bike segment under Rs. 5 lakh and competes with the KTM 390 Duke, TVS Apache RTR 310, and the upcoming Yamaha MT-03.
Commenting on the launch, Tsutsumu Otani, MD, President & CEO, HMSI, said, "We are proud to announce the launch of the 2023 CB300R in India, now with a new OBD2A-compliant engine. With a legacy spanning four continents along with a fine balance of performance & versatility, the CB300R is an ultimate gateway for young riders to brand Honda’s engineering prowess, design philosophy, and premium build quality."
There are no changes made to the bike on the styling front, and it carries forward the Neo Sport cafe-styling while the CB300R remains a handsome-looking motorcycle. In terms of features, the bike gets a fully digital LCD instrument console and all-LED lighting. Powering the Honda CB300R is a 286 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 29.50 bhp and 27.5 Nm. It sports a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
One of the key highlights of the CB300R is its weight, as it tips the scale at just 146 kg. Stopping power is courtesy of disc brakes on both ends, and dual-channel ABS comes as standard. The 2023 Honda CB300R is offered in two colour options: Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Massive Grey Metallic.
