The SUV's latest updates centre on a comprehensive fascia redesign. The bumper now has distinct upper and lower sections, separated by a contrasting black strip. The upper section features a broader, sharper grille with a full-width LED light bar. Meanwhile, the lower section includes a prominent central air intake with sturdy plastic cladding and contrasting inserts. The main headlamp clusters are positioned at the edges in a trapezoidal shape within a C-shaped housing, giving the SUV a broader presence.
From a side view, there aren't significant changes, except for redesigned five-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, the tail-lamp assembly now has sleeker new LED elements. The rear bumper features updated protrusions for reflectors and a glossy black finish on the rear skid plate. Unlike the Nexon facelift, these updates mainly target the soft plastic components rather than sheet metal changes.
The interior has seen a comprehensive update, with a new free-standing central touchscreen available in two sizes: 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch, depending on the trim. The faux wood trim on the dashboard has been replaced with a combination of materials, including a textured top panel, gloss black surfaces, and leatherette padding with contrast stitching. A slim LED ambient light strip accentuates these elements.
You'll find new features like the touch-based HVAC control panel from the Nexon, a four-spoke steering wheel with a backlit Tata logo, and a 10.25-inch customisable digital instrument cluster with navigation. The centre console area has been updated with a shorter gear lever for automatic variants and a new rotary dial for the drive mode selector with a digital display. While higher-spec models get an electronic parking brake, lower variants retain the aircraft-style handbrake lever.
Notable equipment upgrades include LED DRLs with welcome and goodbye animations, up to 19-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, dual-zone automatic AC, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, paddle shifters for automatic variants, rear window sunshades, ventilated and powered front seats with memory function, a gesture-controlled powered tailgate, and Bi-LED projector headlamps. The features of the 360-degree camera, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, and ADAS suite are retained. Additionally, there are now up to 7 airbags, with 6 as standard across the range.
Mechanically, the 2023 Tata Harrier remains the same with a 168 bhp, 350 Nm, 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, powering the front wheels. It also features terrain response modes (Normal, Rough & Wet) and multiple drive modes (Eco, City & Sports).
