Both the Chetak Premium and Urbane variants have been updated for 2024.
Kicking off 2024 with a new launch, Bajaj Auto has introduced the updated iterations of both the Bajaj Chetak Urbane and Premium variants. The former continues to be priced from ₹ 1.15 lakh onwards, and it is now available with four colour options, namely, Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black, and Indigo Metallic Blue. But it’s the latter that has been significantly updated, and just like Urbane trim, the new 2024 Chetak Premium variant now also gets the TECPAC package.
For 2024, the Bajaj Chetak Premium variant now gains a new 5-inch non-touch TFT display. Without the TECPAC package, this display gets limited functionality. But if you avail the package, then a whole host of features are activated which include, turn-by-turn navigation, play/pause/change music, receive call alerts, and even the benefit of toggling through different display themes.
The 2024 Chetak Premium now also debuts a slightly bigger 3.2kWh battery pack that has now increased its range up to 127 km (ARAI-certified). Properly complimenting this larger battery pack is also a new 800W charger that Bajaj claims can give you 15.6 km of range with just 30 minutes of charging. Performance has also increased, and the Chetak Premium now has a top speed of 73km/h.
Other notable features available with the 2024 Chetak Premium include sequential rear blinkers, electronic handle and steering locks, seat switches, and a helmet box lamp. Bajaj Auto has also introduced a new “Green score” that one can check in the Chetak App. This score will give users an idea of how sustainable and energy-efficient their journey has been with the Chetak scooter.
Also new with the 2024 Bajaj Chetak premium are its colourways, which now include, Indigo blue, Brooklyn Black, and Hazelnut. Without the TECPAC option, the 2024 Bajaj Chetak Premium is priced from ₹ 1.36 lakh onwards, and with the package Bajaj is yet to officially reveal the same. However, earlier leaked documents suggested that the 2024 Chetak Premium with the TECPAC package will set you back by ₹ 1.44 Lakh.
