Honda has recently pulled the wraps off its 2024 CBR400R. Positioned competitively within its segment, the CBR400R aims to meet the evolving preferences of riders who prioritize performance, connectivity, and style.
Sporting a sleek and aerodynamically sculpted design, the CBR400R gives out an aura of agility. The updated styling cues, including revamped headlamp cowl, headlight, and tail light, along with strategically placed ducts featuring winglets and slits, contribute to its striking and sporty profile, ensuring that it commands attention both on the road and off. The Honda CBR400R offers a vibrant color palette, including striking options like Grand Prix Red and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, adding flair to its sporty design.
Equipped with cutting-edge features, the 2024 CBR400R is expected to offer riders a seamless blend of performance and connectivity. With Honda Selectable Torque Control and a 5-inch full-color TFT display as standard, riders can experience precise control and access vital information at a glance. Furthermore, the integration of the Honda RoadSync app enables effortless smartphone connectivity for calls, messages, music, and turn-by-turn navigation, elevating the riding experience to new heights of convenience and enjoyment.

At the heart of the CBR400R lies a potent 399cc, water-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve parallel 2-cylinder engine, delivering an impressive 46 bhp and 38 Nm. Paired with a responsive 6-speed gearbox, this powerhouse ensures quick acceleration and effortless cruising capabilities while maintaining claimed fuel efficiency of 28.1 kmpl as per WMTC standards.
Built on a strong frame and equipped with top-of-the-line suspension components, including the Showa SFF-BP USD fork, the CBR400R offers riders stability, agility, and control.
In Japan, the Honda CBR400R is available at a starting price of 863,500 yen (approximately ₹ 4.77 lakh).

And sadly, it will only remain a motorcycle for Japan only. It would be interesting how it would square up against the Aprilia RS457 and the upcoming updated KTM RC390 in its domestic market. However, we are still waiting for Honda to bring in the CBR500R to our shores to give these two a good fight.
