The 2024 Meridian now also gets Alexa integration and ADAS on the top-end variants.
Jeep has launched the updated Meridian in India at ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With the update, the 2024 Meridian gets new variants and features, a 5-seat configuration, and ADAS. The Meridian is now available in four trims – Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland. The pre-bookings are now open at an initial token amount of ₹50,000, with the deliveries set to begin by the end of October.
Jeep Meridian Variants | New Price* | Old Price* |
|---|---|---|
| Longitude MT | ₹24.99 lakh | NA |
| Longitude AT | ₹28.49 lakh | NA |
| Longitude Plus MT | ₹27.50 lakh | NA |
| Longitude Plus AT | ₹30.49 lakh | NA |
| Limited (O) MT | ₹30.49 lakh | ₹33.77 lakh |
| Limited (O) AT | ₹34.49 lakh | ₹35.69 lakh |
| Overland AT | ₹36.49 lakh | ₹37.14 lakh |
| Overland AT 4x4 | ₹38.49 lakh | ₹39.83 lakh |
The 5-seat configuration for the Meridian is only available with the Longitude variant. The base variant gets a seal-grey interior, a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch screen, and a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen but doesn't get a panoramic sunroof. That sunroof is available with the Longitude Plus variant, which also gets a wireless charger now along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and fog lamps.
The two Longitude trims are new to the Meridian, while it already had the Limited (O) and Overland trims. The Limited (O) remains largely the same, however, it gets Alexa home-to-car integration in the UConnect-connected car tech as well as a new beige upholstery. The Overland trim is the only trim of the Meridian to get ADAS with functions like intelligent speed assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and the like.
Cosmetically and mechanically the Meridian hasn’t changed at all. Under the hood, it still gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine with 168 bhp and 350 Nm mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with a 4x4 drivetrain.
With the new, lower starting price, Jeep India aims to make the Meridian a more premium offering than the Tata Safari (₹15.49 - 26.49 lakh) and the Mahindra XUV700 (₹13.99 - 25.14 lakh).
