The Gloster Desert Storm will come with the same diesel engines
MG Motor India has teased the addition of a name plate to the 2024 MG Gloster Storm Series. Well, from what we can understand and what we’ve managed also to find out from dealers is that this one is a special edition model and likely to be called ‘Desert Storm’. We don’t know yet, what additional features the Gloster will have to offer, but we’ll know more on June 4, when the company finally launches the car.
MG had recently launched the Black Storm edition of the Gloster which was priced at Rs. 38.80 lakh, so we are used to now seeing more options on the SUV. The Gloster Desert Storm is not likely to come with big changes, but a new colour option could be offered.

On the mechanical front, we do not expect any changes and it will still come equipped with the 2.0-litre diesel that puts out 161 bhp and 375 Nm and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that makes 215 bhp and 480 Nm. An 8-speed automatic is available on both engine options.
We expect it to come with some additional features, but we’ll know more about it on June 5. The Gloster SUV is available in 2 variants, Savvy and Sharp and in both 4x2 and 4x4 versions.
