The S1X is now coming at a price competing with many affordable ICE scooters
Ola hits the gas on affordability, range, and convenience with the updated 2024 S1X electric scooter. Here's a breakdown of the exciting changes:
The most significant news is the price reduction across the entire S1X lineup. Starting at a competitive ₹69,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, after subsidies), the updated S1X makes electric mobility even more accessible. This price slash, combined with the features and performance offered, positions the S1X as a strong contender in the electric scooter market.
Riders yearning to conquer longer distances will rejoice with the introduction of the all-new S1X 4kWh variant. This powerhouse boasts an impressive IDC range of 190 kilometres, making extended commutes and weekend getaways a breeze.
A very minor update is the addition of the physical key. Ola claims to have added this as a lot of people requested for this.
Let's delve deeper into the existing S1X variants and the new addition.
These variants cater to budget-conscious riders who prioritise everyday commutes. The 2kWh option offers a zippy 85 kmph top speed and an 84 km range, while the 3kWh bumps it up to 90 kmph and 125 km. Charging times vary, with the 2kWh taking 5 hours and the 3kWh needing 7 hours and 40 minutes for a full charge. Both share a 4.3-inch LCD display and common features like LED lighting, ride modes, and smartphone connectivity (except the 2kWh). Prices start at Rs. 79,999 for the 2kWh and ₹ 89,999 for the 3kWh (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
This feature-packed variant offers the same 3kWh battery and performance (90 kmph, 125 km range) as the 3kWh S1X. However, it elevates the experience with additional features like smartphone connectivity with GPS, remote boot operation, and a 4.3-inch LCD display. The S1X+ is priced at ₹ 99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
The star of the show, the new S1X 4kWh which has the longest range (190 km) and a 90 kmph top speed. It shares the same 4.3-inch LCD display and features as the other S1X variants (except the +) but offers significantly extended range for those seeking adventure. The S1X 4kWh comes in at ₹ 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru)
