Prices for the Porsche Cayenne GTS start at ₹2 crore (ex-showroom, India).
Just weeks after unveiling the Cayenne GTS globally, Porsche has now announced its prices in India. The Cayenne GTS is priced at ₹2 crore, while the Cayenne GTS Coupe is priced at ₹2.01 crore (both ex-showroom, India).
This is now the second version of the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe on offer in India. The Cayenne GTS commands a premium of ₹57.51 lakh over the standard Cayenne and the Cayenne GTS Coupe is ₹52.72 lakh dearer than the standard Cayenne Coupe.
Under the hood, the GTS gets a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 493 bhp and 660 Nm mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive drivetrain. Porsche claims the GTS can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 4.4 seconds and its top speed is limited to 275 kmph.
The chassis of the Cayenne has also been altered for the GTS models. It now sits 10 mm lower than the regular Cayenne and gets adaptive air suspension as standard. Alongside, it also gets Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). Even the traction control and chassis control systems have been specifically tuned for the GTS range.
Cosmetically, the GTS models can be identified by the bigger air intakes, dark-tinted headlamps and taillamps and red brake callipers. Furthermore, it also gets ‘GTS’ graphics and letterings, side skirts and side window trims which are part of the Sport Design package. The GTS models also get 21-inch alloy wheels as standard, but different designs and sizes can also be optioned.
The GTS also gets a heated steering wheel as standard as well as ‘Race-Tex’ microfibre material on the roof lining, door cards, armrests and central parts of the seats. Like the standard Cayenne, the GTS also gets a curved digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, an optional passenger display, a fixed panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting, a Bose-tuned audio system and an extending rear spoiler.
The Porsche Cayenne GTS will rival the likes of the Audi RSQ8 (₹2.22 crore), Range Rover Sport (₹1.69 - 2.80 crore) and Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe (₹1.85 crore). (All prices ex-showroom, India).
