Volkswagen India has released the first teaser for the Virtus facelift. The official teaser highlights several exterior styling revisions aimed at refreshing the sedan's aesthetic appeal as it prepares for its upcoming commercial launch.

The teaser images showcase updated lighting signatures, including redesigned headlights and taillights, alongside a revised front grille. The sedan also features re-profiled front and rear bumpers and fresh alloy wheel designs. These cosmetic enhancements are intended to give the Virtus a sharper and more modern presence on the road while retaining its signature proportions.

Inside the cabin, the Virtus facelift is expected to receive updated equipment and technology features, aligning with recent segment developments. Upgrades are likely to include an updated infotainment interface, enhanced digital displays, and revised interior upholstery options, alongside expanded connected-car functions.

Mechanically, the facelifted Virtus is expected to continue with its existing 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre TSI engine generates 113 bhp, while the larger 1.5-litre TSI produces 148 bhp. A key mechanical enhancement under consideration is the introduction of a new 8-speed torque-converter automatic transmission to replace the existing 6-speed automatic unit for the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
