The upgrades aim to make the TVS Apache RR 310 an ideal track weapon.
TVS’s racing pedigree is not recent; the Hosur-based manufacturer has been at it since 1982. So, it’s not surprising that the latest iteration of the TVS Apache RR 310 boasts several hardware and software upgrades that make it sound and read like an ideal track weapon, at least on paper. So let’s find out what wizardry TVS engineers have done to make the new Apache RR 310 even more lethal.
While the shark-inspired body design has remained the same, the 2024 TVS Apache RR 310 now comes with winglets integrated into the side of the fairing—a feature commonly found in most race bikes. TVS claims that these aerodynamic additions help generate 3 kg of downforce.
Properly complimenting that new racing pedigree and body design are those aggressive clip-on bars. Earlier, TVS used to provide these as part of the BTO (Built-to-order) kit, but now they are available as standard.
While the 312.2 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine has remained the same, TVS has reworked the internals of the mill to produce 10 per cent more power and 11 per cent more torque than before. Thus, the new 2024 Apache RR 310 now produces 37.48 bhp and 27 Nm, which is 3.94 bhp and 1.7 Nm more than before. Meanwhile, though the engine comes paired with the same 6-speed gearbox, TVS has now employed a bi-directional quickshifter, which is available as standard with all but the base trim.
To make sure that all that added performance can be effectively put on the road, TVS is now offering the new Apache RR 310 with a new Dynamic Pro Kit. This new suite unlocks cornering traction control, wheelie control, cornering cruise control, cornering ABS and slope dependent control. All of these new features will be available with an additional payment of ₹16,000.
Additionally, there’s also a new Dynamic Kit suite available as part of the brand’s (Built To Order) program that gets you adjustable suspension, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and brass coated chain.
Lastly, wrapping up this entire package neatly are the new colour options - Racing Red and Bomber Grey, along with a special BTO colour to opt from the brand’s customisation section.
All of these updates have left an indelible effect on its price tag and the new TVS Apache RR 310 now starts from ₹2.75 lakh, which is ₹3,000 more than before. This is the base trim model without the quickshifter in Racing Red. With the addition of a quickshifter, the price shoots up to ₹2.92 lakh (all ex-showroom price, Delhi) with the same colour option. However, if you avail the same package with the Bomber Grey colour option the TVS Apache RR 310 will set you back by ₹2.97 lakh.
If you decide to avail the BTO kit, just the race-inspired colour option will cost you an additional ₹7,000. If you opt for both the BTO kits, then the pricing increases further by ₹34,000.
