The Honda QC1 is the entry-level EV offering from the Japanese brand.
Weeks after its debut, Honda today launched the QC1. Priced at ₹90,000, the brand’s second fully-electric scooter slots below the Activa e: and it will be available in just one variant as well.
Built on a completely new chassis, the QC1 weighs just 89.5 kg which makes it lighter than the Activa e: which tips the scales at 119 kg, as the former is available with just one battery pack. The fixed 1.5 kWh battery comes paired with a hub motor that produces 1.8 kW peak power. Honda claims that the QC1 can do 80 km of range on a single charge with the top speed capped at 50 kmph. The battery takes 7 hours to charge fully using a standard 330W charger through a regular household socket, while 0-80% charge is achieved in 4.5 hours. As for its performance, the Honda QC1 takes 9.4 seconds to reach 40 kmph.

The Honda QC1 features a nice practical design wherein it gets a 769 mm long seat and 169 mm of ground clearance – notably higher than some of its competitors. But since the QC1 slots below the Activa e:, it doesn’t exude that premium appeal. There are five colour options to choose from though, Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Shallow Blue, and Matte Foggy Silver Metallic.
On the features front, the Honda QC1 gets all-LED lighting, a front cubby hole with USB-C-type charging provision, and a 5-inch LCD display but there’s no Bluetooth connectivity available here. Additionally, there are two ride modes on offer: Econ for maximum range and Standard for regular city use.
