The upcoming Bajaj Dominar will get features that debuted with the Pulsar NS400Z.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is set to receive an update for 2025 and the upcoming bike is slated to launch soon. While we are yet to get an official launch date for the same, a few reports claim that the updated bike has already started to reach showrooms. The most notable upgrade the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 will debut is with the LCD-Dot matrix instrument console, which we had reported exclusively last year. This is the same console as seen on the Pulsar NS400Z. So from a features point of view both the Pulsar NS400Z and the Dominar 400 should now be on par.
With the new LCD-Dot Matrix console, the Bajaj Dominar 400 will finally gain some much needed smartphone connectivity, which was sorely missed on the sports tourer. This will therefore further get you features like turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS, and notification alerts as well. However, with this addition, Bajaj has removed the small instrument console on the fuel tank which showed the neutral gear position, and other small information.

Beyond this feature addition, the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 will largely remain the same as before. So that muscular body style with that chunky headlight cluster will continue untouched. Mechanically, it will retain the KTM-sourced, 373.33 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as well. This mill will be updated to comply with the latest OBD-2B emission norms, thereby we’re expecting its performance to change slightly from the current 39.42 bhp/ 35 Nm output. Additionally, Bajaj Auto might also finally introduce throttle-by-wire for different ride modes on the upcoming Dominar 400, just like it did with the Pulsar NS400Z.
Lastly, we’re also expecting Bajaj to introduce the 2025 Dominar 400 with new colour options as well. Just like it has been doing for the past few years. And while the dual-exhaust muffler upgrade approximately five years ago was a notable upgrade, will that change too for an underbelly exhaust or not, remains to be seen.

All in all, this impending update should help Bajaj Auto pitch the Dominar 400 more strongly. The middleweight segment in the country has expanded quite aggressively over the past few years to include several new offerings and will the upcoming Dominar 400 stand a chance against competitors like Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400, etc? Remains to be seen.
