Not much has changed with the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, yet there are a few new additions that help make the bike modern.
Bajaj Auto has been at the forefront of bringing exciting new bikes throughout 2024, and keeping that momentum going in 2025 will be the upcoming Pulsar RS200. One of the most radical-looking, and the only fully-faired Pulsar in its portfolio, Bajaj has been warming up for its launch for quite some time now. And while the official bike is still under wraps, images of the bike have been leaked on the internet by a dealer which gives us a clear idea of all the changes that Bajaj has made.
For starters, just like its naked sports brethren – the Pulsar NS200 – the Pulsar RS200 will also gain the new fully digital instrument cluster. This is a coloured LCD unit, and going by the information displayed here, this cluster is Bluetooth compatible which in turn will further get you call/SMS and notification alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
On the aesthetic front, the Pulsar RS200’s dramatic fairing design has remained the same, however, the tail section has been revised. Gone are those quad-shaped LED tail lights, instead you get two distinct turn indicators with the brake light integrated into them, flanking the number plate.
Beyond these two distinct changes, nothing else has changed with the new Pulsar RS200. It continues to be built around the same frame, which is suspended by a telescopic fork and a monoshock. It’s surprising that Bajaj hasn’t opted for a USD fork as seen on the Pulsar NS200. Braking duties are carried out by disc brakes at both ends, and the bike continues to ride on 17-inch wheels. There will be new colour options available with the bike though, and the spied images show us a white/red/black combo which gives it a nice menacing appeal. The bike will continue to be powered by the same 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as well, which produces 24.14 bhp and 18.7 Nm of peak torque.
Currently, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is priced at ₹1.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Given the subtle yet distinct nature of the updates, we expect Bajaj to increase the asking price of the bike a bit. So somewhere in the range of ˳₹2,000-₹4,000 is our guess. But by how much the new Pulsar RS200 gets expensive will be revealed at the time of launch.
