For 2025, the 125 cc commuter gained a few new features and visual upgrades.
Just a day after launching the new Activa 125 for 2025, Honda has now refreshed its 125 cc commuter, the SP125, for the new year. Besides making the bike compliant with the latest OBD2B fuel emission norms, Honda has also introduced some new features that make the 2025 Honda SP125 sound like a better modern option – at least on paper. These additions have also taken a toll on its asking price and the new SP125 now costs almost ₹9,000 more than before. The base Drum brake variant has been launched at ₹91,771 (up from ₹87,468), while the top Disc brake variant will set you back by ₹1,00,284 (up from ₹91,468).
As mentioned above, some of the major changes have come in the form of new features. For starters, there’s a new 4.2-inch TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity and thereby Honda’s RoadSync app. The latter further gets you the benefit of turn-by-turn navigation and voice-assist control for the first time with the SP125. In addition to that, a USB Type-C charging port has also debuted with the SP125, just like the 2025 Honda Activa 125.

Mechanically, the 124 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine has remained the same except for becoming compliant with the latest emission norms. So, it continues to produce the same 10.72 bhp and 10.9 Nm as before. However, for 2025, Honda has debuted an idle-stop system, which should help the SP125’s case to deliver slightly more frugal consumption figures.
Lastly, complimenting these subtle yet important changes are new colour options along with revised graphic design. The 2025 Honda SP125 is available in five new colours – Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, Imperial Red Metallic, and Matt Marvel Blue Metallic. The profile of the bike has also changed slightly in the form of a new all-LED headlamp.
Beyond these, no further changes have been made to the commuter bike. It will continue to compete against the likes of the TVS Raider 125, Bajaj Pulsar 125, Freedom 125, and Hero Splendor Plus. While the Japanese have already commenced its 2025 operations by updating its entry-level offerings, the marque will also be launching a few big capacity bikes next year.
