Having cruise control will improve the touring quotient of the next-gen 390 Adventure.
The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure is likely to get cruise control, according to new spy shots that have emerged online. The cruise control settings can be seen on the almost-production-ready version that the Austrian brand showcased earlier this month. The India-bound ADV could also get this feature but there’s no confirmation about it yet.
An image of the switchgear on the left shows a button at the top which has a cruise control logo, next to the hazard lights switch. Another button, at the bottom left corner, has a ‘+’ symbol on it which is used to increase the set speed for cruise control. Having cruise control on the Adventure will make it easier for buyers and riders who are primarily going to use it for touring. It is likely that cruise control could be limited to the top-spec 390 ADV R variant. However, there is also a possibility of a more road-friendly KTM 390 Adventure GT being developed and even that version could get cruise control.
The next-gen 390 Adventure will have a Dakar Rally-style design with vertically-oriented, dual-projector LED headlights, a beak-like front fender, adjustable WP Apex USD fork, 21-inch spoke wheels in the front and 18 inchers at the back. It will also likely get multiple ride modes, traction control and switchable ABS as standard.
The new KTM 390 Adventure will debut at the upcoming 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Italy in November, with an India launch likely in late 2024. Expect the 390 ADV to be priced at a slight premium than the current range which retails from ₹2.84 - 3.42 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
