The updated LX gets two variants – Urban and Overtail – and comes with ADAS and connected car tech.
Lexus India has launched the updated LX full-size luxury SUV, which is now available in two variants – LX 500d Urban and LX 500d Overtrail. The Urban is priced at ₹3 crore*, while the Overtrail retails for ₹3.12 crore*.
Like before, the LX 500d is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbocharged V6 diesel engine producing 304 bhp and 700 Nm, mated to a 10-speed automatic which sends power to all four wheels. Both variants get the same powertrains but the Overtrail gets front and rear differential locks along with the centre-locking differential (standard on the LX 500d) as well as higher profile tyres wrapped around 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Overtrail variant, along with the mechanical updates, is also available with a Moon Dust colour with black body cladding, fog lamp housing, door handles and ORVMs. Even the humungous grille has a darker finish for the chrome compared to the Urban variant. Inside, the Overtrail has a dual-tone finish with a dark khaki and black combo.
For 2025, the Lexus LX 500d gets ADAS which the brand calls Lexus Safety Systems+ 3.0. It includes features like pre-collision system, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, safe exit assist, lane departure assist and adaptive automatic high beam. The LX 500d also gets connected car tech and massaging seats, which wasn’t available with the previous version.
The Lexus LX500 rivals the likes of the Range Rover (₹2.40 - 4.55 crore*), Mercedes-Maybach GLS (₹3.39 - 3.71 crore*) and the BMW XM (₹2.60 crore*).
