The naked sportbike has also gained a new shade in the process.
The Suzuki GSX-S1000 has undergone a minor, yet crucial update for 2025, with the addition of a new 5-inch colour TFT display. This new unit replaces the previous reverse LCD unit, which in turn should help improve clarity and easier navigation of the bike's ride modes and settings.
In addition to the above, Suzuki has also refined the bike’s electronic nannies. For starters, the integrated traction control and anti-wheelie system with five selectable modes, now can be completely switched off. Suzuki has also added a bi-directional quickshifter into the mix which will be standard across all variants.
Mechanically, the GSX-S1000 continues to be powered by the same 999 cc, inline-four engine that churns out 150 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 105 Nm of peak torque at 9,250 rpm. The engine continues to be housed inside the same twin-spar aluminium frame, suspended by a fully adjustable KYB front fork and a rear shock with preload and rebound damping adjustment. Similarly, the design language of the bike has also remained the same. With the only exception being the introduction of a new silver shade with blue accents and blue alloy wheels.
Unfortunately, the possibility of Suzuki launching the GSX-S1000 is very low in India.. The Japanese firm is currently busy populating the mid-displacement segment (i.e. bikes with engine capacity from 600 - 800 cc). The company launched the Suzuki GSX-8R last year, which was quite the impressive bike to start with. So much so that, it won the most coveted 2025 TOTM for Premium Motorcycle Of The Year.
