A bunch of new features and engine tweaks are a few key highlights here.
Yamaha has updated its smallest MT, the MT-125, for 2025 with a bunch of new features, and exciting colour options. In addition to that, the bike has also become greener and slightly less powerful than before. Its 125 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine now complies with the latest Euro 5+ emission norms and it produces 14.75 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The engine comes paired with the usual 5-speed gearbox.

Beyond that, there’s a new colour option on offer called Ice Storm. This new option is the same as the one that Yamaha introduced earlier with the 2025 MT-07 a few weeks back. Further enhancing its aesthetic is the slightly tweaked face design. While the twin-eye design has continued, it’s now bolder in appeal and the cuts and creases have been updated minutely to make it look more pronounced.

The instrument cluster is also all new and it's a 5-inch TFT unit now with three different themes. Connectivity features were available before too, but for 2025 Yamaha has added turn-by-turn navigation, weather track, and music track status.

Sadly, Yamaha will not bring the MT-125 to India anytime soon. We do have the MT-15, but it ain’t as feature-rich as the MT-125 as seen here. However, when it comes to ride quality, the MT-15 is one of those few exciting 155 cc bikes in India, which feels properly sporty and quick, but that comes at a cost, and with a starting asking price of ₹1.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it feels a bit pricey too.
