The facelifted Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to hit the Indian roads around mid-2026 or during the festive season later this year.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza is one of the most popular sub-compact SUVs in the market, consistently maintaining high monthly sales figures of 13,000–17,000 units. Launched almost ten years ago, the Brezza hit the 10 lakh unit sales milestone as of early 2025. The current-gen Brezza, launched in 2022, is headed for another facelift this year and it has been spotted on test for the first time.
A test mule of the upcoming Maruti Brezza has been spied for the first time. A video of the same has been widely circulated on social media that shows a fully camouflaged test unit of the Brezza. The SUV is set to receive some subtle yet noticeable visual updates as well as some critical functional upgrades over the current model.
For starters, the design of the new Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to remain largely unchanged barring a few subtle variations. Up front, the grille with a blacked-out treatment and multiple horizontal slats are expected to remain unchanged. The grille is flanked by redesigned dual-LED projector headlamp clusters. The front bumper has also been reprofiled.
On the other hand, the side profile looks unchanged barring a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. A partially removed wrap exposes a sleek black side cladding, suggesting a reduced use of plastic elements. At the rear, the new Brezza is set to adopt a very contemporary connected LED taillights setup.
Inside the cabin, the biggest highlight spotted is a larger infotainment system mounted on a reworked dashboard. The new touchscreen is expected to offer better resolution and pack more features than the current unit. Other interior updates expected in the upcoming Maruti Brezza are ventilated front seats and a powered driver's seat.

The other big change is the addition of a six-speed manual gearbox that can be deduced from the new gear lever. This is a significant update that can possibly be extended across multiple models in Maruti’s lineup. The transition to a 6-speed manual is expected to deliver tangible improvements in both fuel efficiency and acceleration compared to the older 5-speed unit.

It should also support Maruti in complying with the more stringent CAFE 3 norms slated for implementation in 2027. The upcoming Brezza facelift is expected to retain the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that puts out 102 bhp and 137 Nm of peak torque. This unit is presently available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. There’s also a detuned CNG derivative of this powertrain available with the Brezza.
