The 350 cc engine powered KTM 390 Duke will be an India-specific model and will be sold alongside the KTM 390 Duke R (399 cc engine variant).
KTM Indian introduced the new 350 cc version of the 390 Duke in the Indian market. The 2026 KTM 390 Duke is priced at ₹2.77 lakh whereas the 399 cc version of the bike is now called KTM 390 Duke R and it retails for ₹3.39 lakh (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). Readers should note that the pricing of the KTM 390 Duke R was increased by ₹40,000 recently. The main reason for KTM to introduce the 350 cc version of the 390 Duke is owing to the new GST rule which taxes motorcycles above 350 cc at 40%. The 350 cc engine now makes the 390 Duke more accessible to buyers as it’s ₹62,000 more affordable than its 399 cc sibling and both the bikes will co-exist as we had reported earlier this month.
Powering the bike is a 349 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 41 bhp and 33.5 Nm of peak torque. In comparison, the 399 cc engine produces 45 bhp and 39 Nm of torque, so yes, with respect to performance there has been a significant drop, at least, on paper. KTM engineers achieved the engine downsizing by reducing the stroke to 56.1 mm (from 64 mm), while the bore remains the same at 89 mm. The KTM 390 Duke gets a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter as seen on its sibling.

Even the hardware remains unchanged. The 2026 KTM 390 Duke gets the same split-trellis frame, adjustable suspension and similar braking hardware. Seat height is between 800-820 mm and the bike weighs 163.8 kg. The TFT instrument console has also been retained with various ride modes, traction control, launch control, cruise control and cornering ABS.
While in terms of performance the new bike will not be as thrilling as the KTM 390 Duke R, one can’t dismiss the value it offers over its higher displacement sibling and it could help KTM in improving its overall sales performance in the Indian market. Apart from the 390 Duke, even the KTM 390 Adventure with a 350 cc engine has been launched at ₹2.81 lakh (ex-showroom).
