The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure was also the most expensive motorcycle to be launched at the Auto Expo 2025
The 2025 Auto Expo saw many interesting launches, especially in the EV segment. However, one motorcycle stood apart from the rest and it was the much-anticipated BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. Unlike the standard motorcycle which took its own sweet time to make its India debut, the flagship BMW ADV bike was launched in our country within months of its international launch.
The BMW ADV bike managed to impress our jury with its tech, off-road ability and styling to win top honours as the Best Of Show Bikes in the Acko Drive Best of Show at Auto Expo 2025. The BMW motorcycle faced stiff competition from the Honda Active e:, Hero XPulse 210, Hero Xtreme 250R and the Suzuki e-Access.
The Acko Drive Best of Show at Auto Expo 2025 is a long-running tradition started by our Editor-in-Chief Siddharth Vinayak Patankar to appreciate the hard work put in by manufacturers at the Auto Expo. For the 2025 edition, the list of jurors included eminent personalities such as Yogendra Pratap, Renuka Kirpalani, Hani Musthafa and the Acko Drive editorial team.
The R 1300 GS A was also the most expensive new bike (₹22.95 lakh, ex-showroom) to be launched at Bharat Mobility and garnered loads of attention at the BMW Motorrad pavilion. The boxy-design of the flagship BMW ADV is functional as it accommodates a massive 30 litre fuel tank. For better off-road credentials, the GSA variant gets tubeless spoke wheels as standard, new aluminium subframe and the iconic EVO Telelever and Paralever suspension setup.
