Yuichi Murata presents the 2024 Entry Motorcycle TOTM to Prabhu Nagraj, Rahul Sharma and Abhinav Raaj.
Honda’s biggest bet for 2023 was its smallest motorcycle, the Shine 100, and it certainly paid off as it is the 2024 Acko Drive Awards' Entry Motorcycle Of The Year winner. The 100 cc motorcycle’s simplicity and ease of riding really stood out in its favour.
The Honda Shine 100 arrived on to the scene in March 2023 with the aim to bring the commuter buyer to the Japanese brand’s outlets. By giving it the Shine moniker, Honda aimed to instil the same trust and reliability factor to its 100 cc contender that buyers have come to associate from its popular 125 cc motorcycle.

Powering the Shine 100 is a 98.98 cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill that makes a humble 7.28 bhp and 8.05 Nm. It has no fancy tech or frilly features to speak of. It remains quite an accessible bike with prices starting at ₹ 64,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).
