Mr. Manish Tandon and Mr. Benz receive the 2024 Bike of the Year TOTM from Gul Panag and Siddharth Vinayak Patankar.
Bringing back the lunaticism from its gen 1 days, the gen KTM 390 Duke impressed us the most in a sea of exciting options which inlcuded heavyweights and equally exciting bikes like the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which came in at second and third respectively.
The new Duke now has a larger 399cc engine, generating more power and torque compared to its predecessors. This translates to a manic ride while maintaining the refinement of the 2nd generation Duke.
While the KTM 390 Duke emerged victorious, the first and second runners-up also presented compelling arguments. Triumph Speed 400 is a sporty retro-styled roadster that offers a comfortable ride with a powerful and responsive engine, making it a great choice for both city riding and occasional highway sprints.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is an adventure-ready bike that has improved technology and increased power compared to previous models, making it even more capable of tackling challenging off-road terrains.
As a package, the jurors felt the KTM Duke 390 was a lot better than both these bikes there by making it the bike of the year.
