Actor Prabhu Deva Brings Home MG M9 Electric Luxury Van

Actor, filmmaker, and a dance icon, Prabhu Deva wears many hats, and the star is now a proud owner of the MG M9 electric luxury van. The ‘Wanted’ directorjj recently took delivery of his new M9, which retails at a price tag of ₹75.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The MG M9 is the only electric luxury van on sale in India, and competes against the Kia Carnival at a similar price point.

The MG M9 goes big on rear seat comfort with the panel van prioritising comfort over everything else. The luxury offering comes with presidential seats with 16-way adjustment, eight massage modes, heating and ventilation function, as well as a touchscreen interface to access controls for each of these features.

The M9 also packs a dual sunroof, ambient lighting Cognac Brown leatherette upholstery, and more. Add to that, there is a 13-speaker sound system, split LED headlamps, LED taillights, and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in ContiSeal tyres. On the safety front, the M9 gets 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS and has received a 5-star rating by the EURO NCAP and ANCAP.

Powering the MG M9 is a 90 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack placed under the floorboard. Power comes from a single motor mounted on the front axle tuned to produce 242 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. The electric van promises a range of 548 km on a single charge.

The M9 is sold exclusively via the premium MG Select showrooms with 15 outlets present pan India. On the work front, Prabhu Deva is gearing up for his next film, which will be released in 13 languages and will be a fantasy-epic. The new M9 also joins a garage that has had some very interesting choices over the years including a Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, BMW M4, and more.
