Apple Intelligence, which initially launched with US English support, will support ten additional languages.
Apple has revealed details about its language expansion plans coming in April, during the launch of iPhone 16e. The company has announced that Apple Intelligence, which initially launched with US English support, will support ten additional languages: French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, along with English variants for Singapore and India, according to
Apple’s iPhone 16E press release.
The April rollout will be the first major phase of Apple's language expansion.
The tech giant is also expanding language support, and will users in India to set their primary iPhone language options in ten regional languages. Users will be able to set their iPhone devices to Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, or Urdu, according to a report.
"Apple Intelligence is available in localised English for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and the U.S. Additional languages — including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified), English (Singapore), and English (India) — will be available in April, with more languages coming over the course of the year, including Vietnamese. Some features, applications, and services may not be available in all regions or all languages," read the press release.
