Apple's Let Loose event is scheduled for May 7 at 7:30 PM IST (7 AM PT) as Apple prepares to showcase its latest innovations. The event will be live-streamed online on Apple's website, Apple TV app, and YouTube. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's keynote presentation is expected to run approximately 35 minutes.

New iPad Pro Models with OLED screens

The star of the show is likely to be a refreshed iPad Pro lineup with two new models - an 11-inch and a 12.9-inch variant. According to Gurman, these next-gen tablets could be powered by Apple's rumoured M4 chip, outpacing even the latest Macs in performance. However, some reports also indicate the more plausible upgrade would be to the M3 chip.

The real game-changer, however, is the adoption of OLED display technology for the first time on iPads. Reliable reports suggest both iPad Pro models will feature stunning OLED panels, replacing the current miniLED backlighting screens. This switch to OLED is expected to enhance the viewing experience with deeper blacks, higher contrast ratios, and more vibrant colours.

Design-wise, the new iPad Pros are rumoured to sport slimmer bezels around the display and, finally, a landscape FaceTime camera. Apple may also introduce a matte screen option and other personalization options. The new iPads could also gain support for MagSafe wireless charging.

Revamped iPad Air Lineup

Multiple reports suggest Apple will unveil not one but two new iPad Air models at its May 7 event. For the first time, consumers may have the choice between a traditional 10.9-inch iPad Air and a larger 12.9-inch variant.

The new iPad Air models are expected to be powered by Apple's M2 chip and could feature a front-facing camera oriented for landscape mode, similar to the Pro models.

Upgraded Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard

Apple is also rumoured to be working on an updated Apple Pencil stylus. This revamped Pencil could boast haptic feedback and a "squeeze" gesture for enhanced drawing and writing capabilities. There's even speculation that it may gain compatibility with Apple's upcoming Vision Pro headset.

Furthermore, a redesigned Magic Keyboard with an aluminium enclosure, a larger trackpad, and other refinements could also make an appearance at the event tomorrow.
