The cumulative cost of all the accessories available with the Aprilia RS457 will set you back by ₹1,61,942.
Aprilia India seems to be in inflation. After launching the Tuareg 660 ADV at an eye-watering ₹18.85 lakh (ex-showroom price), the brand has now revealed the price of the accessories list of its baby RS, the Aprilia RS457.
As VFM of a product, the Aprilia RS457 sounds with its ex-showroom Delhi price, of ₹4.10 lakh, but if you opt for accessories, the price jump is quite steep. The total cost of all the accessories is ₹1,61,942 (exclusive of tax), which is almost the ex-showroom price of the brand-new Bajaj Pulsar N250!
Accessories | Price |
Electronic Anti Theft With Assembly System | ₹29,925 |
Front Brake Lever Protection | ₹29.825 |
High Windscreen | ₹899 |
Quickshifter | ₹27,799 |
External Bike Cover | ₹16,875 |
TPMS | ₹28,749 |
Front Axle Protector | ₹8,725 |
Helmet Lock (Wire Type) | ₹1,899 |
Passenger Seat Cover | ₹1,499 |
USB Charging | ₹949 |
Adjustable Brake Cover | ₹5,449 |
Racing Pads for Brake | ₹9,349 |
Aprilia is offering its RS 457 with a total of 12 accessories. While essential features like a USB charger, taller windscreen, and helmet lock (wire type) are reasonably priced at under ₹2000. It’s the electronic accessories here that are quite expensive here.
For starters, the Electronic Anti-Theft with Assembly system and Front Brake Lever protection will set you back by ₹29,925 and ₹29,825, respectively. One of the features that we appreciated a lot with the Aprilia RS457 was the availability of Tyre Pressure Monitoring System — but TPMS will set you back by ₹28,749 (without tax) — which again is quite a lot.
But the most ridiculous of them all was the price of its external bike cover, which at ₹16,857 sounds like a bomb.
The addition of all these accessories will make the Aprilia RS457 dearer by almost ₹1.65 lakh. And at ₹5.75 lakh (ex-showroom price), the entry-level RS bike will be more expensive than the Kawasaki Ninja 500. Thereby, killing its VFM quotient and pushing its price to CBU (Completely Built Unit) standards. And in the process, Aprilia might have killed the enthusiasm of a lot of eager buyers.
