Here are the bikes you can buy for the same price as the new Aprilia Tuono 457.
The new Aprilia Tuono 457 at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom price, India) is not an affordable affair by any means. But it lives up to its heavy asking price by being a compelling package. Whether it's the 457 cc, parallel-twin engine or the features it comes with, or the kind of fit and finish levels the bike boasts of – every nook and corner of the Tuono 457 screams premiumness. However, if that new bug face design does not sit well and has become a major deal breaker for you — then here are five options you can consider for the Aprilia Tuono 457’s price.
Yamaha gave us quite the surprise at the start of 2025 by slashing the ex-showroom prices of both the MT-03 and YZF-R3 massively by ₹1.10 lakh. This has made them better VFM products, and as a package has become as compelling as the Aprilia Tuono 457. For reference, the MT-03 is ₹40,000 more affordable, while the YZF-R3 is ₹30,000 more affordable than the Aprilia Tuono 457.
The 321 cc, parallel-twin engine in both the Yammies might not be as performance-oriented as the Tuono’s 457 cc, parallel-twin, and both might not be loaded to the gills with features too. But where the MT-03 and YZF-R3 edges past the Aprilia is with their reliable reputation that is backed by Yamaha’s extensive service network across India. This should make living with the Japanese bikes a peaceful affair.
But if your heart yearns for something more retro that is built for long distance cruising then you should consider the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. It starts from ₹3.63 lakh and tops out at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). With a bigger engine, the Super Meteor 650 not only produces more power than the Tuono 457, but there are oodles of torque at your disposal (52.3 Nm to be exact). Plus coupled with that relaxed ergonomics and the calm nature of the engine, the Super Meteor 650 feels like a breeze, even at triple digit speeds, on the highway.
Ultraviolettes’ F77 Mach2 debuted last year with significant improvements. The bike not only gained more features, its range also extended, plus several new exciting colour options too – all of which helped make India’s fastest electric bike more desirable than before. At ₹3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the new F77 Mach2 is also not an affordable affair like the Tuono 457, but given the kind of performance and features it has on offer – it’s as compelling as the Tuono 457, even if it is an all-electric bike. The new KTM 390 Adventure is a very desirable bike and its heavy asking price of ₹3.68 lakh (ex-showroom price, Delhi) is proof of that. It boasts a completely different look that is rugged, practical and very aggressive – all of which gives us the idea that it can take on the gruesome trails easily. The latest 399 cc, LC4c, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine is as powerful as the Tuono 457’s parallel-twin mill. Plus there are enough features on board to fiddle around with which will not make your ride boring. For example, the inclusion of cruise control is a big highlight here, which should make long distance touring less tiresome.
