Ather 450X Overtones Series with 30% Faster Charging Launched in India

Ather Energy has introduced the 450X Overtones series in India. The new series brings a fresh visual approach to the e-scooter, introducing premium paint schemes alongside critical charging hardware updates and an advanced software suite. Prices for the 450X start at ₹1.52 lakh (ex-showroom).

The newly launched Overtones variant brings a choice of three distinct aesthetic treatments tailored to enhance the athletic character of the scooter. The Space Grey shade blends dark and light grey tones, offset by vibrant orange graphic accents and matching orange alloy wheels. For a brighter option, the Lunar Grey variant uses a similar graphical layout but opts for a lighter base grey finish combined with sharp yellow accents. The final paint scheme is the Still White package, which serves as the most understated design of the trio, sporting a premium glossy white paint job paired with subtle grey graphics and contrasting green body accents.

Beyond the aesthetic changes, the electric vehicle receives a major charging hardware upgrade. The manufacturer has replaced the older 700W charger with a more powerful 900W charging unit as standard equipment. This hardware enhancement reduces overall charging times by a massive 30%, resolving common daily range anxieties and making public or home charging much more convenient for regular commuters.

Furthermore, the scooter rolls out with the officially integrated Atherstack 7 operating software. This system activates a host of premium digital applications, including Infinite Cruise control, a specialised accident-sensing Crash Alert function, a location-based ParkSafe warning monitor, and a theft-preventative LockSafe motor immobiliser.

The foundational platform of the 450X remains completely unchanged, preserving its sharp body silhouette, compact ergonomics, and nimble handling dynamics for urban traffic. The scooter continues to be driven by its proven 6.5 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, which can be configured with either a 2.9 kWh or a larger 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

Depending on the chosen battery variant, the vehicle delivers a certified riding range of 126 km or 161 km on a single full charge.
