Another unique way to showcase its engineering superiority after last year’s heat test
Ather Energy is raising the bar to showcase its upcoming Rizta electric scooter’s toughness with a dramatic marketing campaign.
Its latest social media post showcases a video of Ather’s Shreyas Seethapathy, who is chiefly responsible for building the batteries, dropping a battery pack from a 40 feet height.
Ather states that, “Aluminium casings on the battery significantly enhances Safety and thermal performance of the batteries. Imagine what would happen if the battery was not made of metal!”
This act highlights the company's confidence in their battery technology, particularly the aluminium casings that they claim significantly improve "safety and thermal performance." The video cleverly teases the upcoming Ather Rizta, expected to be unveiled on April 6th, Ather's Community day, which will carry these same dependable batteries.
While the drop test is a demonstration of the battery's ability to withstand impact, it's important to remember that everyday use involves various factors that can affect battery performance. Even though it is a clever marketing exercise, it just goes to show Ather's batteries are well-constructed, and as was proven in an earlier campaign, safe in extreme thermal scenarios as well.
