This collaboration will see Kerala gain 121 new charging stations.
Bengaluru-based electric scooter manufacturer, Ather Energy has partnered with ChargeMOD to add 121 charging stations across Kerala. This will not only help expand the state’s charging infrastructure, but will also see Ather expanding its existing network of 291 fast chargers in the state. Furthermore, the collaboration will focus on stations equipped with LECCS connectors, supporting the industry's standardisation efforts. This standardisation will enable multiple EV brands to share charging infrastructure.
ChargeMOD operates over 3,500 charging stations across India, Nepal, and Abu Dhabi. Its collaboration with Ather Energy will build upon the latter’s Grid charging infrastructure and advance the adoption of the LECCS connector standard.
The partnership comes as Ather strengthens its presence in Kerala, where it has sold more than 10,000 units between August 2024 and January 2025. During the first nine months of FY2025, Ather added 799 fast chargers to its national network, working with partners including Bharat Petroleum, Sangeetha Mobiles, and Café Coffee Day. Plus given how the brand will be working on expanding product portfolio furthermore in the future which include electric motorcycles as well, this expansion will further aid Ather Energy in its venture in the long run.
