This further inculcates that Ather will commence deliveries of the Rizta shortly.
Deliveries for Ather’s first family electric scooter are slated to commence sooner than you think after Ather’s CEO and Co-founder, Tarun Mehtatook to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared an image of the first Rizta rolled off the production line.
The Ather Rizta pictured here is the base-spec S model in its Pangong Blue shade. Ather also has six more colour options in addition to this namely – Siachen White, Deccan Grey Mono, Deccan Grey, Cardamom Green, Pangong Blue, and Alphonso Yellow – out of which the last three are dual-tone options and are reserved with the top-spec ‘Z’ variant.

The Rizta might be built around the same platform that also underpins the brand’s ‘450’ scooters, but it boasts a completely new design from the ground up being a family scooter. It looks simpler and has more functional aspects in every nook and corner of its body. So, aside from the massive 34-litre under-seat boot space, the Ather Rizta is also available with a clever 22-litre frunk, making it the only scooter to be available with such an accessory.
Similarly, its feature list has also been curated in a manner which reads simple and yet is sophisticated enough that will be practical daily. For starters, it is available with just two ride modes – Smart Eco and Zip – along with auto-hold assist, emergency stop signal, call and music control. Beyond that, Ather has also introduced new features via the new AtherStack6 update that gets you the likes of integrated Google Maps, WhatsApp Preview on Dash, and Auto Reply to Calls.
The brand’s first electric scooter made for the Indian family exclusively was launched last month with an introductory price of ₹97,546 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in two iterations - S and Z – both with different battery packs. While the base ‘S’ packs a 2.9 kWh battery pack as the only option, the top-spec Rizta ‘Z’ is available with the same along with a 3.7 kWh battery pack as well priced at ₹1.13 lakh and ₹1.29 lakh, respectively (both ex-showroom prices, Delhi).
