Strong sales growth, particularly in the high-demand 125cc and 400cc segments.
Hero MotoCorp has kicked off the new fiscal year on a high note with impressive sales figures for April 2024. The company reported a substantial 34.7 percent year-over-year growth compared to April 2023, translating to a total of 5,33,585 two-wheelers sold. This positive trend wasn't a one-time blip; it marked a further 9 percent increase in sales compared to March 2024, highlighting sustained momentum.
Delving deeper into the figures, Hero MotoCorp's domestic market witnessed a robust 33 percent YoY (year-on-year) growth, reaching 5,13,296 units. This significant increase suggests a strong surge in demand for Hero's two-wheeler offerings within the Indian market. Exports also experienced a notable boost, doubling year-over-year to reach 20,289 units shipped internationally in April 2024.

The company's performance wasn't uniform across all segments, but it witnessed particular success in the 125cc and 400cc categories. Notably, the Hero Xtreme 125R is experiencing such high demand that Hero MotoCorp is actively ramping up production to ensure timely deliveries and meet customer needs. Beyond impressive sales figures, Hero MotoCorp is making strategic moves to solidify its position in the two-wheeler landscape. Deliveries of its recently launched flagship motorcycle, the Mavrick 440, have commenced across India, offering customers a new and exciting option in the premium segment.
Additionally, demonstrating its commitment to international expansion, Hero MotoCorp partnered with CG Motors to inaugurate a product assembly facility in Nepal. This facility serves a dual purpose: catering to the growing demand in the region and creating new investment and employment opportunities.

Overall, Hero MotoCorp's April 2024 sales figures signifies consistent growth across various segments. Hero MotoCorp is not only capitalising on strong domestic demand but also strategically expanding its international presence. With new product launches and a focus on high-demand models, Hero MotoCorp seems well-positioned to maintain its dominance in the Indian two-wheeler market.
