Motorcycles largely contributed to this growth, especially with the brand’s 125 cc offering.
Hero MotoCorp’s total sales in August 2024, including both motorcycles and scooters, stood at 5,12,360 units which is a 4.82 per cent year-on-year increase from the 4,88,717 units the brand retailed last year in the same month.
No points for guessing; Hero’s major sales came off its motorcycle portfolio, especially with its 125 cc offerings, which include the newly launched Xtreme 125R. The brand retailed 4,78,215 motorcycles in August 2024, which is a year-on-year growth of 5.78 per cent. For a more detailed breakdown of the brand’s sales report, check out the table below:

Interestingly, Hero MotoCorp’s scooters didn’t register the same interest as Hero’s motorcycles. However, things might change soon as the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in India has some pretty interesting launches up its sleeves. Three new Hero scooters will launch soon ahead of the festive season, including a maxi-scooter, with a distinct ADV-vibe. Before that, Hero MotoCorp is slated to launch the new Hero Destini 125 in September, the details of which you can read here.
