Honda Cars India Ltd has announced its sales for December 2025, and the carmaker’s domestic volumes stood at 5,807 units. The automaker registered a 3.6 per cent increase, against 5,603 units sold in December 2024. Exports, on the other hand, stood at 2,352 units, witnessing a near 64 per cent decline in volumes, when compared to 3,857 units shipped overseas a year earlier.
With respect to total sales (domestic + export), Honda sold 9,460 units last month, against 8,159 units sold in December 2024, a year-on-year growth of 13.75 per cent. The company retails four models in India - City, City Hybrid, Amaze, and Elevate. Honda said that the positive momentum from the GST revision in the second half of the year helped the brand retain strong sales numbers.

Speaking about the sales performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India, said, “We closed December with good sales growth, carrying forward the positive momentum achieved since GST 2.0 implementation. Demand remained robust across all models Honda Amaze, City and Elevate, with each contributing strongly to overall performance. The new year 2026 is expected to unlock new opportunities, with multiple product launches scheduled during the year.”
Honda announced its future roadmap for India in late 2025, which includes bringing 10 new models to the market by FY2030, including seven SUVs. The company has multiple new models in store, including a second facelift for the City sedan, while the Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV is slated to arrive in FY2027, as the brand’s maiden electric offering for India. Honda is also said to be evaluating the Prelude two-door sports car as one of the halo products for the Indian market. If greenlit, the Honda Prelude is expected to arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).
