However, MG Motor India’s sales have dropped by 10.17 per cent in February on a month-on-month basis.
JSW MG Motor India reported that it sold a total of 4,002 cars last month. This marked a month-on-month decline of 10.17 per cent, compared to the 4,455 units it retailed in January 2025.
While the above figures are nowhere close to the 7,516 units it retailed in December 2024, when the brand closed the year with a healthy 55 percent year-on-year growth, this drop in sales is primarily because production has been slow at MG’s Halol facility. The infrastructure is currently undergoing modifications to accommodate the production of new cars in the future and stabilise the production process of the MG Windsor EV.

Speaking of EVs, JSW MG Motor India’s maximum volume was driven by its EV portfolio, which contributed 78 percent of its total sales. MG has three EVs: Comet, Windsor, and ZS. The newly launched Windsor EV has turned out to be pretty successful for the company, having single-handedly increased the brand’s presence in the passenger electric vehicle segment. Its recent achievement of crossing 15,000 sales already is a testament to that.
2025 is slated to be pretty exciting for JSW MG Motor India, the brand has confirmed that it has the Cyberster two-seater sports car, and the M9 scheduled for launch in the country soon. Both of these will be sold via MG’s new exclusive outlet for premium cars – MG Select.
