Commercial vehicle sales dipped by 4% compared to July 2022
Tata Motors reported a marginal growth in sales in July 2023. The company sold a total of 47689 passenger cars last month and that’s a 0.26% growth over last year. It’s a marginal growth over June 2023 sales as well because the company had sold 47240 cars. It’s the electric side of the business though that showed a 53% year-on-year growth. Tata Motors sold a total of 6359 electric vehicles in July 2023 compared to 4151 last year.

On the commercial vehicle front, Tata Motors registered de-grew by 4% by selling 32944 units as compared to 34154 units in July last year. There’s a lot happening with Tata Motors on the passenger and commercial vehicle front. The company has shown strong sales on the passenger vehicle front with the Nexon, Altroz and even the Tiago. The company has brought in the CNG version of the Altroz as well and that expands the portfolio.
The Harrier and the Safari too have been strong sellers and now with the updates (addition of Level 2 ADAS) become a very good proposition in the SUV space.
